Useful Tips

  1. Always keep the heater rod fully submersible.
  2. Before taking out the heater, please disconnect the power and wait for 10 minutes to cool it down.

How to Choose the Right Size Heater for an Aquarium?

The rule of thumb is 2.5 to 5 watts per gallon of water volume. This can vary depending on how cold the room in which your aquarium is, and how large the tank is.

For example, if you have a 5-gallon tank, you need to heat the water to 6°C above room temperature. The suggested heater size is 50 watts. However, if your home is on the colder side at 18°C, and you need to raise the water temperature by 8°C, then consider upsizing the heater to 75 watts above.
