Fire Stone is a warm-toned, natural volcanic rock featuring a deep reddish-brown color, serrated surface, and highly porous structure. Named for its dramatic color shift underwater (darkening to a glowing hue reminiscent of hot embers) it provides plenty of crevices for securing mosses and epiphytic plants like Anubias and Bucephalandra. Its rugged, serrated texture gives it excellent grip for stacking into caves, canyons, and mountain terrains, or for serving as a sturdy, non-slip base beneath aquascaping driftwood. It is also an ideal accent for terrariums, paludariums, and bioactive enclosures.
